Confidence Closes!

Today I’m coming to you with a little bit of a cheerleader, pep talk, encouragement - not really training purposes.

I have been seeing a lot of discouraging and sad judgements online. It is preventing people from wanting to show up. That’s not okay. We are in a space where everyone should be welcomed and encouraged all the time.

I really hate that people who are leaders in the industry are putting out that there are certain parameters and limits and blueprints and “must-dos” around becoming successful.

Here’s the thing - the only thing that’s going to make you successful is yourself.

Confidence in yourself, confidence in your skillset and confidence in what you are offering.

It’s not anything besides showing up as yourself - real, authentic and raw baby. All the time.

You can not build a brand or run a business without being yourself. It will catch up to you, people will catch on to it and it will suck your life out of you.

The only thing between you and the success you’re yearning for is yourself. You just need to get out of your own brain. Kick the Negative Nancy out and bring in Positive Paul.

Just keep thinking - you’re going to do this, you are going to be successful, you are the best at what you do. Keep affirming yourself and validating that you are going to be the expert on this and that people will come to you and ask you for your opinion.

The success that you want is within you already.

Let me tell you a story.

I started out and I thought I was really confident in myself. I knew I had a great skillset to offer as a virtual assistant. But I got the wind taken out of my sails and thinking to myself, “Well maybe this isn’t for me, maybe I’m not going to be great at this. I’m good but I want to be the best...but I can settle for good I think.”

When you do that, you don’t realize that you’re cracking your confidence little by little when you do that.

Then something happened and I ROCKED a launch for a client. I saw the results of what I had been working towards and it had been a GAME CHANGER for me.

I realized that I am the greatest. I am amazing at what I do. I am so good. My skill set is off the chart. I communicate, I’m available, I’m flexible, I’m all these things that so many people are not. That took the roof off of my confidence.

I started showing up more. I started doing videos. I started being able to easily write out what I wanted to say.

When that light bulb of confidence went on, that REAL confidence, I had seen the fruits of my skills, it was a game changer.

If I keep showing up, y’all are going to keep coming to me which means more money for me which in turn means more FREEDOM.

Confidence closes. Bottom line. If you don’t have confidence, there’s a good chance you won’t close that call or sale….once you have confidence, all bets are off and you can achieve whatever you want.

My challenge to you is - over the next week, sit with your skill set. Affirm to yourself daily that you are the best and people will come to you for your expert knowledge and you do a bomdiggity awesome job. Tell yourself that every day for a week or two. I want you to show up for people. Go live on Facebook or Instagram, even if you just show up and introduce yourself. The fact you got on and did it, that’s all that matters. You will see something happen. There will be magic in it.

Validate your skills, give yourself that pep talk or ask someone else to give you a pep talk. When someone else tells you that your work is meaningful, it reinforces it for you. Then transfer it to your screen and show up for people.

Do it and see what happens. I can guarantee you, you will see a response, and if you keep doing it, people will start coming to you. You will get DMs and emails, you’ll get tags in Facebook groups, you’ll get referrals, because you are a presence and that is a powerful thing.

I will leave you with this…

Confidence is your closer.
